How to install a child car seat properly

May 28, 2022

Generally speaking, the seat is safest in the rear seat of the driver's seat, followed by the rear seat of the passenger seat. The passenger seat is the most dangerous seat, so people sitting in the passenger seat should take special safety precautions. Without further discussion, the figure shows the suitable position for installing child safety seats. The middle position of the three rows of seats in the back is not suitable for installing child seats. Otherwise, the protective effect will be greatly reduced. Getting your seat in the right position can greatly improve safety.

ISO FIX installation: The child safety seat protruding (red) buckle and the car seat interface can be inserted together to play a fixed role. After fixing the ISO FIX interface, the child seat fixing bracket and the car bottom plate can be fixed. The fixing bracket must coincide with the bottom plate without virtual position, otherwise it will affect the fixing effect.

LATCH the LATCH on your favorite room, then tighten the LATCH strap with a tightener and sway the seat to determine the extent of the LATCH. The LATCH hooks extend directly from the back of the seat to the top of the child seat. There is only one LATCH, but the child seat has one or two LATCH points.

First, recline the seat so that you can see behind it, and then pull the seat belt out as long as you can. Pass the seat belt through the back of the child seat from the outside in. The important thing here is to control the seat belt so that it does not get stuck or you have to try again.

Fasten the seat belt and the socket. This is not the end of the story. There are still places to fasten.

A key point is that after the seat belt passes through the child seat, the seat seat clip needs to be secured to the seat belt.

After securing the seat belt with the clamps, we shake the child seat from side to side to reduce the empty space between the clamps and the seat belt.
