Design and Prospects of Twin strollers
Apr 05, 2023
With many families having multiple children, the number of newborns each year will significantly increase in the future. In recent years, there has been a trend of decreasing age differences between two children in a family. At the same time, the probability of twins being born has also increased compared to before, so more and more families need twin strollers.
At the same time, the global economy has steadily developed, income has continued to rise, and consumption capacity has also continued to enhance. This not only brings changes to people's lives, but also brings unprecedented opportunities for the development of the infant and toddler product market. Baby strollers are the most common product in the infant and toddler product market, and the target consumer group for baby strollers is gradually shifting to parents born in the 1980s and 1990s. Due to a change in consumer attitudes, baby strollers have basically completed the transition from luxury goods to household necessities. In view of the shortcomings of the existing baby stroller products, a multifunctional twin baby stroller is designed by quantifying the emotional requirements of users based on the Kansei engineering theory and combining the ergonomics theory. A pair of parents can give consideration to the twin baby stroller of two babies. By studying the current design status and existing problems of baby strollers in domestic and foreign markets. The concept of Kansei engineering is applied to the design of stroller, and the stroller is studied in detail. Through research on the market and parents, analyze the results from the lifestyle habits of infants and young children, parents' values, and aesthetic values. Deeply understand the functional requirements of new families and young parents for stroller design by combining psychological effects, physiological characteristics, and ergonomic design theories during infant growth. Design with parents of two children of the same age as the target user, considering the growth needs of infants and the usage needs of parents, and design and explore the safety, comfort, and functionality of the product. With the goal of facilitating the use of baby strollers by families with newly added infants and young children, through in-depth research on users' sensory, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and related values, a baby stroller design that can be used by one child and easily split for two children to use at the same time is ultimately designed, making the product more humanized and warm. The design is divided into three parts: stroller model structure design, baby seat split design and overall appearance design. Using computer-aided design to create a brand new baby stroller that meets the social environment and the requirements of younger parents, thus stimulating faster reform and innovation in the infant and toddler market, adapting to the trend of the times, and promoting social development, has certain practical significance.
